The 4th Annual LYNNHAVEN LUAU, Saturday, June 25th. Starting at 7:00 to 11:00. The party will feature Bill Deal's Original Rhondels and our very own Dean Englert. This is a great chance for all to have some fun and invite all our friends and neighbors to join us. Tickets are available now at a special price of $25 each or 2 for $45.
-----------------------Sunday May 15th, 2011, Conversations about Progressive Christianity is sponsoring a presentation and dialogue in support of retaining Virginia's Ban on Uranium Mining. Wise stewardship of the world that has been entrusted to our care is part of what CPC considers being the living presence of "God".
Join us in welcoming Trieste Lockwood of Interfaith Power and Light as she presents us with an opportunity to discover and discuss the implications of uranium mining in Virginia. This event will start with CPC providing a meal for all attending at 1100 after services and then we will time with Ms. Lockwood.
------------------------Our Annual LYNNHAVEN LUAU is right around the corner. We hope everyone can join us on Saturday, June 25, 2011, for an evening full of music, dancing, food and fun. We are featuring music by the spectacular ORIGINAL RHONDELS, so you won't want to miss this. Tickets go on sale May 1-- $30 each or 2 for $50 if purchased by June 17. After this, all tickets will be $30 each and $35 at the door. This year we are offering a limited number of reserved tables (seating for 8) which can be purchased for $225. Doors open at 7:00p.m; the band starts playing at 7:30p.m and ends at 10:30p.m. There will be free shag lessons at 8:30. A complimentary buffet of heavy hors d'oeuvres will be offered all evening and beverages may be purchased for a donation ranging from $1.00 to $3.00 each. This program provides free flowers once a month at any Norfolk Florist location. LCCC-UCC earns $10 of every $25 card sold. Redemption of free flowers starts this month! These are great gifts!!!
Tuesday's Together Good food and good fellowship in the Community Center We begin serving a home cooked meal at 6:00 pm. Come as you are, leave when you need to.
