The LCCC Choir

Our Choir under the direction of Dean Englert performs almost every Sunday from September through mid-June and at most special services.  With Phoebe Pacleb at the piano or organ the choir typically performs beyond expectations of a small choir, performing a range of music from traditional hymns to arrangements with jazzy syncopation to ballads and folk.  Several choir members are also professional musicians who sometimes perform music for special services and children’s events as well as during the choir’s “down time” over the summer.

Dean Englert has performed with the Original Rhondels and is a frequent member of the orchestra for many touring “broadway” shows at Chrysler Hall.  He often plays brass and sings solos during special music at the church.

Choir members are from many backgrounds and their ages range from mid-teens into the 80s.  It is an interesting group where active and retired business people, technical professionals, professional musicians, medical professionals, school teachers and students come together.  Dean manages to get the most from the relatively small group (typically 14-18).
